Fostering saves lives!

Fostering is one of the most needed, yet most rewarding, parts of rescue work! Rescue organizations simply cannot save animals from euthanasia, in high-kill shelters, without temporary foster homes. By fostering, you're saving more than one life..you're actually saving TWO! Shelters euthanize dogs for space, by fostering, you're allowing a rescue team to remove a dog from the shelter and provide a space for the next dog in need. 

ODT provides short term fosters (typically 5-21 days) for dogs awaiting transport in the Fort Benning, Georgia area.

Opening your home to fostering an animal is an awesome experience! Whether it is a dog, puppy, or mom with puppies, it is a great way to find a dog-if you're looking for one- or a great way to help a dog on his/her journey to their furever home!
