Recruiting the community to save those who cannot save themselves
Just recently I’ve had the pleasure to foster Bailey, a four-month-old Pittie Mix. He was really good with my own dog and loved long cuddles on the couch. He was with us for three weeks, which helped my husky mix to come out of her shell a lot. It’s so awesome to see how dogs can form a bond so quickly, but also how needy they are, especially puppies, they just want to be loved.. and as a foster parent that’s what I want to provide, a loving, warm-hearted, and secure home. As a dog lover, it means the world to me to give these little beans a chance in life, a better opportunity to find their forever home.
Muffin was the 2nd longest resident at the shelter. He was at risk for being euthanized for space. My husband & I decided to foster him, despite our busy work schedules. We were able to provide him with a safe environment filled with love & toys until he was able to transport to his adopters in Maine. He was able to have a home for Christmas! Muffin was our 6th foster pup and each time we foster, we fall in love with them! It's certainly a lesson on selflessness. As much as we'd love to keep them, we have 3 pups of our own and we know that someone else needs them more! Though there can be minor inconveniences, the reward of saving a pup is greater.
